Yes Guns ‘N Roses fans, a new G ‘n R song is confirmed to be on the new Rock Band 2 game! So what’s the big deal for non gamers? This news definitely increases the chances for the infamous and long awaited “Chinese Democracy” album to see the light of day via Interscope.

Nine seemingly complete tracks from the album, not including “Shackler’s Revenge,” leaked online earlier this summer. Sorry but I do not have a link but I am keeping my eyes open for those leaked G ‘n R tunes.

According to the authoritative fan site Electric Shock reports that AC/DC will embark on a world tour before the end of the year in support of its next studio album.

The album is likely to be titled “Black Ice” and will be released Oct. 28 in North America via Columbia, but will be sold exclusively at Wal-Mart stores.

The first single “Runaway Train” will hit radio in late August, the site says. The album was produced by Brendan O’Brien and is AC/DC’s first since 2000′s “Stiff Upper Lip.”

It was announced recently that the band’s “Let There Be Rock” will appear in the video game “Rock Band 2,” which hits stores in September.

The Police are due to release a live CD & DVD from their live tour later this year. The group filmed and recorded two shows, Dec. 1-2 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Drummer Stewart Copeland says that there is no life for the Police after the tour ends on August 7 at a benefit for New York public TV stations at Madison Square Garden. “In the back of our minds there was the possible ‘Who knows? Maybe if some new material comes up or something like that, you never know…’ But the mission has always been finite”, Copeland explains.

There are a few interesting facts related to some of these new CDs: This is Cyndi Lauper’s first album of new material in 12 years, this will be the Cure’s first album of new music since 2004′s self titled album The Cure, and Motley Crue is back with all four original members for a studio album!

This is the second album from Arcade Fire and to critics, Neon Bible exceeds all expectations. Critic Mike McGonigal remarks, “For vocal influences, lead singer Win Butler seems to have traded his ’80s Bowie in for an ’80s Springsteen, at least on the songs “Antichrist Television Blues” and “Windowsill” (though “Intervention” sounds an awful lot like ’80s era Go-Betweens).”

You’ll find that some songs on Neon Bible are dark, but hey, wasn’t the Cure a pretty dark band too? The dabble of darkness on their sophomore album just adds to the mystique and beauty of it.

In an interview the 64-year-old Summers said, “It’s sort of like living with the elephant in the room. I would see it as a challenge, to make an absolutely brilliant pop album at this stage of our career, and that would be something quite remarkable.”

Back in 1986 the Police broke up after their world tour and the huge success of their Synchronicity LP. Police hits include “Roxanne” and “Every Breath You Take.” Sting has had a successful solo career while the other two band members Guitarist Summers and drummer Stewart Copeland have had more subdued solo projects.

They reunited for a 30th-anniversary world tour that began in May and is scheduled to run into next year.

Summers said the trio has yet to discuss in any detail the prospect of recording a new album together. But he said the tour had sharpened their group skills — and, four months into the reunion, creating something new together would make sense.

Summers spoke to reporters in a central Dublin park, where he was signing copies of “I’ll Be Watching You: Inside The Police 1980-1983,” his personal photographic record of the band’s glory years. Last year he published his autobiography, “One Train Later: A Memoir.”

Having arrived on Louisville’s indie-rock music scene 10 years ago, VHS or Beta has since traveled the world, on tour with the likes of the Scissor Sisters and Duran Duran, losing one band member and picking up everything from French disco-houses influences to a powerful fan base in Colombia.

It isn’t every day we get to see hear a band of today that sounds like the bands from the 80′s. VHS or Beta is something worth checking out — I heard the title track ‘Bring on the Comets’ along with a few other samples off of this album and it definitely was a flashback back to the 80′s!

This guy never stops! “Love Grenade” presents you with a harder rocking and more rolling edge in contrast to his last album “Craveman” which was a heavy, heavy metal sound. The Nuge keeps on rocking with this crank-it-to-11 kind of music.
